PLA is one of the most widely used thermoplastics in 3d printing. It is stiffer than ABS, but lacks the temperature resistance and toughness that ABS has.

PETG is one the fastest growing 3d printing materials on the market. It combines the higher stiffness of PLA and toughness of PETG to form a strong and durable material. The only downside is the up to 80C temperature resistance, whilst ABS can reach 100-110C.

Nylon is one of the strongest and the most durable material for 3d printing. It has resistance to breakage and wear. Nylon can also be filled to add strength, rigidity or impact resistance.

Polycarbonate is the king of thermoplastics. It has excellent impact resistance, temperature resistance, is optically transparent and can be annealed for even greater strength properties.
